Cullen receives NHYRs ‘Gipper award’

CONCORD- Tonight, New Hampshire Republican Chairman Fergus Cullen received the "Gipper Award" at the New Hampshire Young Republicans (NHYRs) annual convention.

The award is in honor of Republicans who have contributed to the NHYRs and the Republican Party. Previous honorees include former GOP chairwoman Jayne Millerick and current congressional candidate Grant Bosse.

"Reagan was president from when I was 8 to 16, so he was a huge reason why I decided to get active in politics," Cullen told the group gathered at Concord's Upham Walker House.

The group also elected Katie Richardson to be coordinate the group's efforts in the North Country and Aaron Goulette will be in charge of Southern New Hampshire.

"Young Republicans are small business owners and other young professionals who are determined in getting New Hampshire in the right direction," Kerry Marsh, NHYR chairwoman, said.
