Stephen is traveling the 1st district in a bus joined by Executive Council Ray Burton, his father Bobby, his brother Chuck and various other campaign staffers and supporters.

"We're going to be talking about optimism, hope and trust," Stephen told the crowd at Glen's Patch's Market.[img_assist|nid=1484|title=John Stephen with Executive Councilor Ray Burton|desc=|link=none|align=right|width=200|height=150]

Stopping in Conway, Stephen discussed the campaign with almost 30 people.

"We have a Washington that's broken and we've been electing officials not that aren't accountable to the people that sent them," he said.

Stephen also repeated his line "the credit card is maxed out" and argued for government spending to be controlled.
