Sununu provides campaign update to supporters

U.S. Sen. John Sununu's (R-Waterville Valley) campaign has sent an e-mail to supporters providing them with a campaign update.

Two weeks, a congressional newspaper reported that New Hampshire Republican activists were worried that Sununu was not actively building a campaign organization.

According to the e-mail, Sununu has been campaigning across the state.

"Since the first of the year, Senator John Sununu has held or attended over one hundred meetings and events in 40 cities and towns in every county in New Hampshire, met personally in his Capitol Hill office with over 130 constituent groups from New Hampshire, and cast over 122 votes on the Senate floor, all while increasing his campaign cash advantage to nearly $2.5 million!" the e-mail states.

The update also says the campaign office has officially opened at Maple Tree Mall at 545 Hooksett Road.

Sununu's campaign has released a partial town chair list. Henry Mock: Jackson, Michael Eaton: Chichester, Edwin "Smokey" Smith: Hinsdale, Michele Holton: New London, Beno Lamontagne: Colebrook, JD Colcord: Warner, Bill Gabler: Hebron, Carolyn and Herb Geiler: Somersworth, Liz Christoffersen: Hollis , Rep. Pam Coughlin: Mont Vernon.

Over the past couple of weeks, Sununu has been endorsed by the United States Chamber of Commerce and SAFE (Save America's Free Enterprise) Trust, the political arm of the National Federation of Independent Business.
