Former governor Jeanne Shaheen (D-Madbury) has a seven-point lead over U.S. Sen. John Sununu (R-Waterville Valley), according to a new Rasmussen poll.
In the competitive U.S. Senate race, Shaheen is leading Sununu 50 to 43.
"In New Hampshire, the Senate candidates are essentially even among men but Shaheen has a seventeen point advantage among women," the poll says. "Shaheen leads among those who make less than $75,000 annually while Sununu leads only among upper-income voters. Both candidate's earn the vote from 81% of their own party while Shaheen has a fourteen-point lead among unaffiliated voters."
Rasmussen has Sununu holding a favorably rating of 49% unfavorably of 47%. While, Shaheen is viewed favorably by 58% of voters and 40% view her has unfavorable.
