Kenney feels ‘bad’ for Unity

[img_assist|nid=2148|title=State Sen. Joe Kenney|desc=Campaign photo|link=none|align=left|width=200|height=157]Commenting on the upcoming event with U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) and U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.), state Sen. Joe Kenney (R-Wakefield) said he feels "bad" for the town of Unity and added that the Democratic presidential candidates must quickly unify.

"I feel bad for the people of Unity; hopefully they don't call it disunity after the event. All kidding aside, I think they have to unify quickly to catch-up to John McCain."

Kenney also said that U.S. Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz.) ballot presence will help him unseat Gov. John Lynch (D-Hopkington).

"Obviously as someone who is appearing on the top of the ballot I'm happy to see John McCain's name on the ticket," Kenney said. "I think it's going to be a strong ticket from the top-down."

Kenney is the only Republican running against Lynch.

He also predicted Republicans will capture the New Hampshire House and said 2008 will be a "re-balancing" of Granite State politics.
