Even a member of the U.S. House can have trouble finding a decent parking space.
U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D-Concord) car was illegally parked in Washington, D.C., Roll Call reported Monday.
"Hodes' black Toyota SUV was parked on the side of the inbound side of Massachusetts Avenue Northwest near Ward Circle while rush hour was in full swing, nevermind the fact that the right lane doesn't turn into a parking lane until 9:30 a.m," the article states. "The parked vehicle slowed traffic as motorists had to pull around the hulking truck."
Hodes' office told Roll Call that a junior staffer left the car overnight, not realizing it was a "no parking zone" during rush hour traffic.
The car had a license plate that read "N.H.2" but was not ticketed for the offence.
