Update: National Dems aim to protect Shea-Porter

[img_assist|nid=2392|title=U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter|desc=|link=none|align=right|width=160|height=241]Freshman U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester) is part of a $35 million national ad buy by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the Associated Press is reporting.

The DCCC has reserved ad time in 31 congressional races. The topic of the ad has not yet been determined but the ad will run in September and October.

Shea-Porter's seat is also a top target for national Republicans and will face either former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro) or former Health and Human Services Commissioner John Stephen (R-Manchester) in November.

Update: Politicker.com national columnist, and Real Clear Politics contributor, Reid Wilson reports that the DCCC has reserved $564,000 worth of air time to protect Shea-Porter.
