Throughout the week, former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen (D-Madbury) will be barnstorming the Granite State to meet with voters about rising energy prices.
Details of the events have not yet been released but Shaheen will be making stops in Salem, Concord, Littleton, Plymouth, Claremont, Newport and Rochester.
"It's an economic and an environmental imperative that we invest in the development of alternative and renewable energy sources, increase domestic energy production and practice conservation in our daily lives," Shaheen said in a statement. "But we also need to look at ways that we can provide relief now for New Hampshire families paying over $4 a gallon at the pump. We need to take action immediately."
Shaheen is running against U.S. Sen. John Sununu (R-Waterville Valley) in a rematch of the 2002 election.
