Kenney says N.H. ‘built’ for McCain

ROCHESTER-State Sen. Joe Kenney (R-Wakefield) says that New Hampshire is "built" for U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).

"New Hampshire is built for John McCain. It's great to have him back," Kenney told PolitickerNH.com. "The more time he spends in New Hampshire the more people love him. As New Hampshire goes, so goes the nation."

Kenney is the only Republican candidate running against Gov. John Lynch (D-Hopkinton).

Kenney also argued that he and McCain will attract the same type of supporters.

"We obviously has a lot of independents, Democrats and Republicans who support his [McCain] candidacy and will support mine. We're going after the same supporters and with John McCain, John Sununu and Joe Kenney at the top of the ticket I think we're going to be very successful."

Kenney made the comments before McCain's town hall forum in Rochester.
