The poll shows former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen (D-Madbury) beating U.S. Sen. John Sununu (R-Waterville Valley) 50 percent to 45 percent, just outside the margin of error of plus-or-minus 4.5 percent.

"Among voters not affiliated with either political party -- Shaheen leads 53% to 40%. Last month, she led by twenty-eight among the unaffiliateds," the poll finds. "Sununu's favorability ratings have also improved this month. The incumbent is viewed favorably by 52% of voters, up from 48% last month. Shaheen is viewed favorably by 55%, down from 59% last month."

A Granite State Poll showed Shaheen leading by four points, which was within their margin of error.
