CONCORD-State Sen. Bob Clegg (R-Hudson) spent most of Saturday surrounded by veterans.

The congressional hopeful took part in a motorcycle ride for Manchester's Liberty House, visited the state veterans' cemetery and spoke at a meeting of the Combat Veterans Association.

"It was an honor to ride with all of you today," Clegg told the group of veterans at a Concord VFW post.

Clegg is running in the Republican primary for the 2nd Congressional District against Jennifer Horn (R-Nashua), Jim Steiner (R-Concord) and Grant Bosse (R-Hillsboro).

Clegg also told the veterans that the government should uphold its promises to returning soldiers and veterans.

Also attending the event at Liberty House were Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta and former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro), who is running in a Republican primary in the 1st Congressional District.

The stop was a part of a day that PolitickerNH.com spent with Clegg on the campaign trail. Check out our previous coverage on the campaign trail with Bosse, and 1st Congressional District Republican candidate John Stephen (R-Manchester).
