Senate GOP reports

The latest financial figures submitted by the Democratic and Republican candidates running for state Senate show a stark fundraising disparity that favors Democrats.

Earlier Wednesday, the Senate Democrats reported a combined total of $1.7 million, while the Senate Republican Victory political action committee reported a surplus of $73,098. During the course of the summer the Republican PAC raised $54, 254 and spent $18, 829.

At the time of this posting, several Republican state senators and Senate candidates have reported their fundraising numbers.

State Sen. Bob Letourneau (R-Derry) raised $22, 613 and has $55, 587 in the bank, while state Sen. Mike Downing (R-Salem) was able to haul in $6,300, ending the period with a surplus of $25, 109. State Sen. Jack Barnes (R-Raymond) reported raising $3,100 and closed with $10,375, while state Sen. Sheila Roberge (R-Bedford) raised $5,125 with a surplus of $31,830.

Marshall "Lee" Quandt (R-Exeter) raised $19, 147 and ended with $16,571. James Danforth (R-Andover) raised $3,950 and finished with $2,370. Christian Callahan (R-Portsmouth) raised $14,100 and closed the period with $13,441.
