DENVER-- Even though it is only the first day of the Democratic National Convention, New Hampshire Democratic Party staffers say there have not been any major problems so far.

David Scannell, New Hampshire Democratic Party executive director, and Mike Brunelle, New Hampshire Democratic Party political director, has been in Denver since the weekend ensuring delegates have a smooth convention.

"It was a very busy weekend, a lot of details like credentials and paperwork needed to be sorted out," Scannell told PolitickerNH.com.

Scannell said that all the speakers at the morning breakfasts were planned in advance except for Iowa Gov. Chet Culver. Scannell saw Culver in downtown Denver shopping and asked if he would like to speak to the New Hampshire delegation, which Culver did this morning.

New Hampshire delegates will also have prime seating arrangements for the speakers.

"New Hampshire is well positioned on the floor, we're about 12 rows back," Scannell said. "We're very pleased with it."

The delegates were also surprised to learn that they were all granted passes for the convention hall tonight, which they will head for in the mid-afternoon.
