Foster says primary not affected

DENVER-- State Sen. Joe Foster (D-Nashua) told PolitickerNH.com that a resolution passed this past weekend will not affect the New Hampshire primary.

Foster served on the Democratic National Committee's rules committee which passed a resolution that will examine the Democratic primary process.

"I thought the resolution was fine it focused on improving the caucus system, the role of the super delegates and the primary calendar," Foster said. "I was comfortable with it because it preserved New Hampshire's status."

Foster said the commission will examine how Democrats can hold primaries later in the year.

"I got the sense from most that having the Iowa caucus and the New Hampshire primary so close after the holidays didn't work out."
