Cullen: Shaheen’s speech short on specifics

DENVER-New Hampshire Republican Chairman Fergus Cullen issued a statement shortly after former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen's address to the Democratic National Convention.

Cullen said that Shaheen's address was filled with "liberal talking points."

"Jeanne Shaheen's address to the Democratic National Convention showcased her continued dependence on the standard, scripted, liberal talking points supplied by politician insiders and Washington partisans," Cullen said in a statement. "In her speech, Shaheen failed to offer any specific ideas on how strengthen our economy and once again refused to support any efforts to expand domestic drilling and energy exploration."

Cullen ended the statement with the note: "Did you notice that they spelled her name wrong on the jumbotron?"

Earlier today the New Hampshire Republican Party issued two press releases with the titles, "Top Ten Things Shaheen Won't Mention in Her DNC Convention Speech," and "Flashback: Shaheen's Broken Promises from the 1996 Democratic Convention."
