Elliott congratulates Sanborn on primary win

Responding to news that PolitickerNH.com has called the state Senate District 7 Republican primary for his opponent, Larry Elliott simply offered his congratulations.

"My only reaction is that I congratulate him," Elliott told PolitickerNH.com. "I wish him well in the general election."

Elliott was beaten by Andy Sanborn (R-Henniker) in the Republican Primary Tuesday night. Sanborn will go on to face freshman state Sen. Harold Janeway (D-Webster) in the general election.

Elliott also said that he was satisfied with the amount of the vote he received. "I was outspent six to one," he said. "I feel like I did pretty good."

"The voters have made their choice," Elliott added.
