The New Hampshire Democratic Party wasted no time in criticizing primary winners Jennifer Horn (R-Nashua) and former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro).

New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Ray Buckley took aim at Bradley's congressional record and posed a question that will become a staple in politics over the next two months.

"What has Jeb Bradley done in the past two years to deserve to return to Washington?" Buckley said in a statement. "He's still the same politician who voted against increasing the minimum wage. He's still the same politician who voted with the Republican Party nearly 90% of the time."

Buckley also criticized Horn, who will face current U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D-Concord).

"It takes more than empty rhetoric and a few talking points to change Washington," Buckley said in a statement. "As the Concord Monitor said, Jennifer Horn ‘has few thought-out positions. Her campaign consists of a Muzak of conservative clichés that fill what would otherwise be dead air time.' Empty promises and clichés are just more of the politics of the past and won't bring the type of change that New Hampshire middle class families need and deserve." 

Hodes congratulated Horn on her victory and trumped his legislative record.

"My campaign just offered our congratulations to Jennifer Horn and to her campaign, and we look forward to a spirited campaign and a substantive debate over the issues," Hodes said in a statement.  "Since you have elected me to represent you in Washington, I have been proud to stand up to the insiders and business as usual in Congress. On day one, I helped pass historic, tough ethics reform legislation and I fought to create an independent ethics panel to investigate alleged violations."
