DCCC airs anti-Bradley ad

The DCCC has begun airing its first ad against former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro) in his effort to retake the 1st Congressional District seat.

The thirty-second ad, titled "Everything that's wrong with Washington," attempts to tie Bradley to President Bush and features a quote from Bradley's primary rival, John Stephen (R-Manchester).

"While in Congress, Jeb Bradley voted with George Bush up to 85 percent of the time," the announcer states. "He voted to cut funding for veterans programs, voted for handouts for big drug companies and voted against cracking down on price-gauging by oil companies. No wonder even some Republicans say Jeb Bradley is everything that's wrong with Washington."

Bradley's campaign said that "Bradley's support of troops and veterans is unwavering."

"He has fought hard to improve their healthcare benefits, ensure they have the equipment they need and to make sure that the promises made to them are promises kept," said Alicia Preston, Bradley's spokeswoman. "To attack him on this is a desperate campaign ploy and no one's buying it."
