Huckabee endorses Prescott

It was a strategy that didn't even work for Bob Clegg in his Republican primary last week, but this morning Executive Council candidate Russell Prescott is proudly touting the endorsement of Mike Huckabee.

Like Clegg, Prescott, a former state senator, endorsed Huckabee in this year's presidential primary.

"Russell ran for the State Senate in 2000 because he was concerned that New Hampshire was heading in the direction of an income tax," Huckabee said in a press release. "He is running today for Executive Council because he sees the same 'tax and spend' philosophy overtaking the legislature and Executive Council."

Prescott is running for the District 3 seat against Beverly Hollingworth (D-Hampton).

As a part of the endorsement, Prescott will be a "featured candidate" on Huckabee's Huck PAC website which will encourage people to donate to Prescott's campaign.
