Hodes airs first ad

[img_assist|nid=3762|title=U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes|desc=Congressional Photo|link=none|align=left|width=200|height=301]U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D-Concord) has begun airing his first television ad in his re-election campaign.

The ad tells the story of Michelle Morse, a Plymouth State student who had to continue attend classes after being diagnosed with cancer because if she would have lost her health insurance if she dropped out of college.  Hodes helped pass "Michelle's law" which allows students to continue to be covered under their family's health insurance even if they are not full-time students.

"I don't think I could have ever gotten this far without the help of Paul Hodes.  I am going to keep on fighting.  Paul Hodes is going to keep on fighting.  And we are going to get this passed," AnnMarie Morse, mother of Michelle Morse, said in the ad.

"I am proud of the fact that my office has been able to assist thousands of people across the 2nd District of New Hampshire, and I know the best ideas come from here at home," Hodes said in a statement. "Michelle's Law was a good idea for New Hampshire, and it is a good idea for the rest of the country too.  No family should ever have to make the terrible decision that Michelle's family faced.  I'm proud to have stood with Anne Marie and her fight to honor Michelle Morse's memory."
