UNH: Bradley, Hodes ahead in races

A University of New Hampshire poll puts former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro) and U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D-Concord) ahead in their respective races.

In the 1st Congressional District Bradley is beating incumbent U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester) 45 percent to 42 percent with 12 percent undecided. In the 2nd Congressional District Hodes is leading Jennifer Horn (R-Nashua) 38 percent to 26 percent with 33 undecided.

The poll WMUR Granite State Poll, sponsored by WMUR-TV and conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center.

According to the poll, "Bradley's net favorability rating has plummeted to +7% from +21% in July." 36 percent of unlikely voters have a favorable opinion of Bradley and his unfavorable rating is 29 percent.

"The hard fought primary battle between Bradley and John Stephen has hurt Bradley," said UNH Survey Center Director Andrew Smith.
