Hutson calls an Obama ‘tie’ a ‘win’

MANCHESTER-- John Hutson thinks that a "tie" for Barack Obama in the presidential debate is a "win."

"To win the debate he needs to tie the debate," Hutson told PolitickerNH.com. "McCain has the upper hand advantage and I think in the end if Obama can demonstrate how thoughtful and well-informed he is on these issues he would have won."

Hutson, co-chair of former McCain supporters for Obama, was a guest for the Obama campaign's Manchester debate watch party.

"McCain lays claim to foreign policy expertise but he was wrong on Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq and Obama has been right on Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq," Hutson said. "McCain can talk the talk but Obama has walked the walked."

Hutson, Dean and President of the Franklin Pierce Law Center, said he is currently not interested in running for political office.

"I have no present plans to run for anything in the future," Hutson said.
