CONCORD--The New Hampshire Troopers Association endorsed Gov. John Lynch's re-election campaign citing his record of support for state police officers.

"You've given us the tools to get our job accomplished," Louis Copponi, president of the New Hampshire Troopers Association, said.

Copponi added, "Whatever work you need us to do, we'll be there for you."

Lynch is running for a third-term against state Sen. Joe Kenney (R-Wakefield).

The troopers association represents 300 state police officers and endorsed Lynch in 2004.

"I'll continue to support you and the work you do on behalf of the people of New Hampshire," Lynch said.

The association also made Susan Lynch an honorary member of the group and presented her with a jacket and badge.

"We recognize the true power," Copponi joked.

The endorsement capped off a day in which Lynch was endorsed by the New Hampshire Teamsters, and Lynch endorsed the state senate campaigns of Peggy Gilmour (D-Hollis) and state Rep. Bette Lasky (D-Nashua).
