MANCHESTER--Senior U.S. Sen. Judd Gregg (R-Rye) spent the day campaigning alongside former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro).

Bradley is running against U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester), who narrowly defeated Bradley in 2006.

Gregg and Bradley toured businesses in downtown Manchester along with Mayor Frank Guinta. The Republican trio visited SilverTech, J. Dubs Coffee, Z restaurant and toured a building being rehabilitated by Gamache Enterprises.

"Jeb Bradley is an experienced legislator and a highly regarded individual who did a great job in Congress," Gregg told PolitickerNH.com in an interview.

Gregg also said that Shea-Porter votes with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's "San Francisco agenda."

"I regret that the present congresswoman votes with Nancy Pelosi and her San Francisco agenda of more spending and higher taxes," Gregg said. "When Jeb was there he voted for New Hampshire values."

Gregg said that this election is different from 2006 because the two issues that dominated the 2006 election will have little effect this time around.

The violence in Iraq has decreased, the surge has worked and President Bush is not on the ballot," he said. Gregg added he thinks voters are now worried about the economy and energy prices.

Earlier in the day Gregg spoke at the Seacoast Republican Women Breakfast in Portsmouth and will later participate in a fundraiser celebrating Bradley's 56th birthday.
