Dems maintain advantage in State Senate

After months of candidates campaigning and spending records amount of money, the New Hampshire state senate has not changed hands.

The Democrats maintain a 14-10 advantage in the state senate, the same margin they had coming into Election Day. Not a single seat changed hands.

The Democrats were able to hold onto both open seats in Nashua with Peggy Gilmour (D-Hollis) beating Paul LaFlamme (R-Nashua) and Bette Lasky (D-Nashua) defeating Sandra Ziehm (R-Nashua).

However, Bill Denley (R-Wakefield) pulled out an upset against Bud Martin (D-Center Sandwich) in Senate District three.
