Moore says GOP should turn right

Greg Moore, a New Hampshire political consultant and former campaign manager of John Stephen's congressional campaign, has written an editorial that says the Republican Party should return to its conservative roots.

"Now the GOP has finished its bingeing and is ready to check into rehab. Conservatives finally have their voice, and maybe their party, back," Moore wrote in The Union Leader.

Stephen, whom Moore worked for, was defeated in the 1st Congressional District Republican primary by former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro).

Moore also said that Republicans should focus on its fiscal conservative message.

"Stripped of power, Republicans must now return to winning the hearts and minds of the American public through the strength of ideas," Moore wrote. "This presents the chance to get back to the values that made Republicans the majority 14 years ago and to wash away the past few years that eroded the GOP brand of being the party of reform-minded, limited government."
