Cullen says Packard has ‘majority mind set’

New Hampshire Republican Party Chairman Fergus Cullen said that House Republican leader state Rep. Sherman Packard (R-Londonderry) has a "majority mind set" needed to promote the Republican agenda.

"I think that Sherm has a very good temperament and has an inclusive vision for the caucus," Cullen said in an interview with PolitickerNH.com. "He shares what I call the majority mind set. Which is recognizing that without a majority none of our agenda goes anywhere."

Cullen also said that he thinks Packard will be able to unite the caucus behind his leadership.

"I have full confidence that he will be able to unite the caucus quickly and I look forward to working with him in one capacity or another down the road," Cullen said.

Cullen also said that the race for leader had "more than one good candidate." State Reps. Gene Chandler (R-Bartlett), Fran Wendelboe (R-New Hampton) and John Reagan (R-Deerfield) also ran for House Republican leader.
