Vanderbeek goes into lobbying

Republican political consultant Debra Vanderbeek has registered to be a lobbyist for two companies in New Hampshire.

During this past election cycle, Vanderbeek was a consultant for the failed congressional campaigns of former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro) and former state Sen. Bob Clegg (R-Hudson). Vanderbeek also managed Mike Huckabee's campaign in the New Hampshire presidential primary.

According to Secretary of State Bill Gardner's office, Vanderbeek has registered to lobby for Surge Resources and Green Meadow Golf Club. Surge is a company based in Manchester, which oversees human resources operations for companies. Green Meadow is a public golf course in Hudson.

"I'm looking forward to helping these great New Hampshire companies work with our citizen legislature in Concord," Vanderbeek said in a statement to PolitickerNH.com. "As we look to compete in this difficult economy, these companies are looking to help grow our state economy and create jobs."
