A former reporter who covered the New Hampshire primary for NBC has been hired as a White House reporter for the website Real Clear Politics.

Mike Memoli worked in the Granite State during the presidential primary and then went on to cover former President Bill Clinton and Vice President-elect Joe Biden during the general election for NBC. During the campaign, Memoli wrote for various NBC websites and shot footage for the network.

"Nothing can top the experience I had covering the New Hampshire primary, but this will have to do until I come back in 2011," Memoli said in an email to PolitickerNH.com.

Phil Elliott of The Associated Press also worked in New Hampshire during the primary and has been assigned to cover the incoming Obama administration.
