MANCHESTER--U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester) spent a weekend morning speaking to a meeting of the Manchester Democratic Committee.
Shea-Porter discussed the importance of grassroots activism and energizing Democratic volunteers.
"The work we do now will determine what our country looks like next year," she told the crowd of 35 volunteers, staffers and local politicians. "This is about our country, this is about our future."
Shea-Porter also said that the "middle class has reaped what the Bush Administration has sowed."
