Shea, St. Hilaire square-off for Executive Council

In 2006, Executive Council John Shea (D-Nelson) was on a flight to Belgium when he heard he had pulled off an upset victory and defeated Councilor Peter Spaulding. Two years later, Shea has visited every town in District 2 and has been campaigning extensively with Gov. John Lynch (D-Hopkinton).

St. Hilaire ‘confident’ of victory

 MINNEAPOLIS- Even though he is in a three-way primary, Executive Council candidate Dan St. Hilaire (R-Concord) is spending this week at the Republican National Convention.

St. Hilaire is a delegate for U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and is competing against Bernie Sparks (R-Loudon) and Richard Wasson (R-Rollinsford) in the Republican primary in Executive Council District 2.

Carson, Sparks file with Secretary of State

CONCORD- State Rep. Sharon Carson (R-Londonderry) and retired state police office Bernie Sparks (R-Loudon) officially filed at the State House with the Secretary of State office.

Carson is running for the State Senate, while Sparks has decided to run for the Executive Council.

"This is really the beginning of the campaign," Carson said. "It's going to be an exciting time here in New Hampshire."

Carson added that the state budget will be her main campaign issue and she is running in Senate District 14 against Sandy Amlaw (D-Londonderry).

St. Hilaire to hold first campaign event

Today, Executive Council candidate, and Merrimack County Attorney, Dan St. Hilaire (R-Concord) is hosting his first campaign event at Concord's Capital Grille.

"The event is a combination of a meet-and-greet and fundraiser," St. Hilaire said.

St. Hilaire is competing against current Councilor John Shea (D-Nelson).
