Millerick: ‘One reformer’ in VP debate

Jayne Millerick, John McCain's campaign state vice-chair, said Sarah Palin demonstrated her record of reform during the vice-presidential debate against Joe Biden.

"There was one reformer on the stage Thursday who has a record of delivering change -- Sarah Palin. And there was one veteran Senator who has a record of delivering empty rhetoric, and that was Joe Biden," Millerick said in a statement.

N.H. GOP picks electors

The New Hampshire Republican Party has selected their presidential electors.

The electors will vote for John McCain in the Electoral College, if McCain is able to capture the Granite State's four electoral votes.

The electors are: Nancy Merrill, Wayne McDonald, Jayne Millerick and Paul Chevalier.

Delegates help Gulf Coast victims

MINNEAPOLIS--New Hampshire delegates spent Wednesday afternoon helping people affected by Hurricane Gustav, which hit the Gulf Coast earlier this week.

Delegates assembled "comfort packages" that were sponsored by Target, FedEx and the American Red Cross.

Millerick praises Palin

DENVER--- A New Hampshire vice-chair of U.S. Sen. John McCain's campaign says the choice of Gov. Sarah Palin (R-Alaska) says the pick is an example of McCain bucking the political establishment.

"Senator McCain's choice of Sarah Palin is another excellent example of how he is not afraid to shake up the establishment in Washington," Jayne Millerick said in an e-mail. "She is a tough executive who like Senator McCain, is not afraid to stand up for what is right for her constituents."
