RINOS - those who seem to vote against Republican ideals...

...over and over again.  Big tent?  Not that big such that it includes many Lefty Dems.  And some of these seem to vote more like Dems rather than Rs.  At least, one can almost always seeming expect that in the "important" votes, one can almost see their names listed with the Dems before actually seeing the voting list.

Human Events lists a few national ones:

As part of HUMAN EVENTS ongoing campaign against Republicans in name only (RINOs) we have compiled a list of the Top 10 Most Liberal Republican Senators based on the American Conservative Union Ratings for 2008 (110th Congress, second session.

Such a Mean Old Man

In the interview, Gregg objected most strongly to Obama's proposal to devote 18 percent of cap-and-trade revenues to fund clean energy projects.

"A hundred twenty billion is a lot of money," said the three-term moderate. "It's obscene."

..."They shouldn't using it as stalking horse for his (Obama's) special interests," he said. "That's the Al Gore fund."Read the whole thing to see how Janus Judd supported cap and trade when John McCain was the one who could be president.

Mean, snide, and transparently partisan.  And coming from the no-strings-attached Bush Bank Bailout's biggest cheerleader, patently hypocritical.

It's obscene.

Increasingly Southern GOP Ready to Ditch NH Primary?

This revelation Ambinder caught hold of from an "RNC rules maven" is disturbing, to say the least:
Republican rules for the first time give the members of the Republican National Committee, by a 2/3 vote, the option of adopting a mandatory 2012 state primary election calendar.

States whose legislatures, which may be controlled by Democrats, refuse to schedule a primary that complies with RNC rules face a draconian choice.

Either their party gives up its presidential primary and instead holds (and pays for) a presidential preference caucus -- or the state suffers a loss of 1/2 of its delegates to the 2012 Convention.

Many party leaders, who, for ideological or personal reasons, prefer a low-participation caucus rather than a higher-participation primary, see this Rule as a great opportunity to transform the party.

"In Congressional races, incumbent Paul Hodes is predicted to win New Hampshire's 2nd District and incumbent Carol Shea-Porter looks to pull out a narrow victory in the 1st District."

Sununu appearance with McCain has more pros than cons, analysts say

With less than two days to go before Election Day, U.S. Sen. John Sununu (R-Waterville Valley) will be attending John McCain's town hall forum in Peterborough.

Political analysts agree that Sununu's appearance has more upsides than downsides, despite polls that show Sununu running better in his re-election race than McCain is in the presidential race in New Hampshire.

According to the UNH/WMUR tracking poll Sununu trails his opponent, former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen (D-Madbury), by five percentage points, while McCain is losing to Barack Obama by 11 points.
