The historic Merrimack Restaurant has officially closed its doors.
Almost every presidential candidate has visited the famed Manchester eatery since the early 1980s.
Earlier this month the owners, sisters Maria Saitas and Koni Farr, announced that they were planning to retire. The sisters reached an agreement with a group of buyers in mid-April to purchase the building.
On Thursday night, state Rep. Will Infantine hosted the last political event and Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta presented the owners with a key to the city.
