Poll has Bradley beating Shea-Porter, Hodes leading potential opponents

A UNH poll contains good news for U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D-Concord) but show trouble for U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester).

According to The Granite State Poll, Shea-Porter is losing to former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro) 46 percent to 40 percent. However, the same poll has Shea-Porter beating Bradley's primary rival, former Health and Human Services Commissioner John Stephen 42 percent to 36 percent.

Bradley, Stephen debate funding for veterans programs

NEW CASTLE-Former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro) and former Health and Human Services Commissioner John Stephen (R-Manchester) had a heated exchange on federal funding for veteran programs at a Republican forum.

Bradley said Stephen supported a federal budget plan that would have cut veterans programs, Stephen countered that the budget blueprint would not have cut programs.

Kerry Healy endorses Bradley

Former Bay State Lieutenant Governor Kerry Healey has endorsed former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro).

"Who will put the partisan games away, stop searching for headline making legislation and instead come up with real solutions to the problems we face. Jeb Bradley has done it in the past and will do it again," Healey said in a press release. "He is right for New Hampshire and for our country.

Forsythe endorses Stephen

Former congressional candidate Jim Forsythe (R-Strafford) has endorsed John Stephen (R-Manchester).

Forsythe was competing in the Republican primary for the First Congressional District before abandoning his bid.

"John Stephen intends bring change to Washington by being a strong advocate for limited government, low taxation, and States Rights," Forsythe said in a statement.
