Hodes’ car illegally parked in D.C.

Even a member of the U.S. House can have trouble finding a decent parking space.

U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D-Concord) car was illegally parked in Washington, D.C., Roll Call reported Monday.

"Hodes' black Toyota SUV was parked on the side of the inbound side of Massachusetts Avenue Northwest near Ward Circle while rush hour was in full swing, nevermind the fact that the right lane doesn't turn into a parking lane until 9:30 a.m," the article states. "The parked vehicle slowed traffic as motorists had to pull around the hulking truck."

GOP primaries expose party divisions

New Hampshire Republicans hope that the 2008 election will erase any gains the Democrats made in 2006.

However, Republican primaries in the First and Second Congressional Districts could expose divisions that would undermine any attempt at unifying the party, Roll Call is reporting.

A potential problem is primary in the Second Congressional District.

State and national Republicans encouraged Jennifer Horn (R-Nashua) to run even though, State Sen. Bob Clegg (R-Hudson) was rumored to be interested in the race.
