Rockingham GOP elects State Committee members

It took almost two hours Thursday night for the Rockingham County Republicans to elect 77 members to the Republican State Committee.

Over the past two weeks, Republican county committees having been meeting to elect people who will vote next month to determine who will become the next chairman of the New Hampshire Republican Party. Currently only former Gov. John H. Sununu is running for chairman.

Stephen announces Seacoast endorsements

First Congressional Candidate John Stephen (R-Manchester) has released his latest endorsements.

The 100 endorsers will form Stephen's "Seacoast Leadership Team."

Former New Hampshire Republican Chairman Wayne Semprini, former Executive Councilor Ruth Griffin and former Safety Commissioner Richard Flynn are the most prominent figures to have endorsed Stephen.

Prescott to run for Executive Council seat again

CONCORD -- Former state Sen. Russell Prescott (R-Kingston) will take a second shot at Executive Council this year, but he still remains unsure as to whether he will face a primary.

In an interview Prescott said that he has the support of both his primary opponents from 2006 for his run this time. In 2004, the Executive Council seat in District Three was vacated by longtime incumbent Ruth Griffin. Former state Sen. Chuck Morse (R-Salem) emerged as the nominee in the three way Republican primary, but was defeated by former Senate President Bev Hollingworth (D-Hampton).
