Staff changes at NHDP

The New Hampshire Democratic Party has announced that David Scannell is leaving as the party's executive director.

"David brought his extensive talents to the party and proved his leadership skills with the historic results of November 4th" NHDP chairman Ray Buckley said in a press release.  "The party is grateful for David's willingness to take on the grueling job of 80 hour work weeks in a high pressured environment. David deserves great credit for our 2008 successes; he was a leader in the team that made history."

Bragdon fills top staff posts in state Senate

Senate Republican Leader Peter Bragdon (R-Milford) has announced that two people with deep roots in the state Senate will fill two key staff positions.

Angela Spradling, currently the legislative aide, is being promoted to become the minority caucus director. Kristy Roney, a former aide to the senate finance committee, will become the minority policy director.

"Kristy and Angela bring the experience and expertise needed to get the job done," said Bragdon in a press release. "They will be tremendous assets to our Republican team."

N.H. Dems hiring canvassers

The New Hampshire Democratic Party has begun hiring people who could canvass neighborhoods on weekday nights and weekends.

"Use your summer to do something that matters while gaining valuable job and leadership skills that will last a lifetime," according to a Facebook message sent to Democrats.

Part-time and full-time positions are available and canvassers will be placed in either the Manchester area or the Nashua/Salem area.
