UNH: Bush at 27 approval in state

A University of New Hampshire poll puts President George W. Bush's approval rating at 27 percent among adults.

The WMUR Granite State Poll, sponsored by WMUR-TV and conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, also shows that 70 percent of adults disapprove of Bush's handling of the economy and 61 percent disapprove of his handling of foreign policy.

The poll also concluded that "Only 54% of Republicans now approve of Bush's performance as President while 92% of Democrats and 75% of political Independents disapprove."

UNH poll: Lynch cruising to re-election

Gov. John Lynch (D-Hopkinton) appears to be on his way to an easy third term.

According to a new poll, Lynch is beating his opponent, state Sen. Joe Kenney (R-Wakefield) 66 percent to 17 percent with 15 percent undecided.

The WMUR Granite State Poll also found that 65 percent of Republicans approve of the job Lynch has done as governor.

UNH: Senate race narrows

A new University of New Hampshire poll shows former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen (D-Mabbury) leading her rival, U.S. Sen. John Sununu (R-Waterville Valley) by four percentage points.

According to the WMUR Granite State Poll, sponsored by WMUR-TV and conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center. Shaheen is beating Sununu 48 percent to 44 percent with seven percent undecided.

UNH poll: McCain leads Obama by 2

A new poll shows John McCain leading Barack Obama by two percentage points in the Granite State, well within the poll's margin-of-error.

In the WMUR Granite State Poll, conducted by the University of New Hampshire and sponsored by WMUR, 47 percent of likely voters say they will vote for McCain, 45 percent say Obama and 7 percent are undecided. However when respondents were asked, "Thinking about the presidential election in November, would you vote for Republicans John McCain and Sarah Palin...Democrats Barack Obama and Joe Biden ... someone else ...

Bush at all-time low in Granite State

A new University of New Hampshire poll has President Bush's approval rating at an all-time low.

The Granite State Poll, conducted by the UNH Survey Center, found a 24 percent approval rating and a 72 percent disapproval rating. The poll also finds that half of New Hampshire's registered Republicans disapprove of Bush.

Granite Staters overwhelmingly disapprove of Bush's handling of the economy and foreign affairs. Only 19 percent think the country is headed in the right direction.

Clegg compares Bosse-Horn spat to school yard

State Sen. Bob Clegg (R-Hudson) says he thinks the recent fight between his rivals Grant Bosse (R-Hillsboro) and Jennifer Horn (R-Nashua) is similar to one in a school yard.

In an interview with PolitickerNH.com, Clegg also said that he can beat U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D-Concord) in the 2nd Congressional District in November.

Poll has good news for Lynch

Lynch is beating state Sen. Joe Kenney (R-Wakefield) 67 percent to 16 percent. The Granite State Poll, conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, shows Lynch gaining 45 percent of Republican voters against Kenney.

Poll has Bradley beating Shea-Porter, Hodes leading potential opponents

A UNH poll contains good news for U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes (D-Concord) but show trouble for U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester).

According to The Granite State Poll, Shea-Porter is losing to former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro) 46 percent to 40 percent. However, the same poll has Shea-Porter beating Bradley's primary rival, former Health and Human Services Commissioner John Stephen 42 percent to 36 percent.

Update: UNH poll shows U.S. Senate race virtual dead heat

A new poll has former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen (D-Madbury) leading U.S. Sen. John Sununu (R-Waterville Valley) by four points, that puts Shaheen within the poll's margin-of-error of 4.3 percent.

The Granite State Poll, conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, shows Shaheen beating Sununu 46 percent to 42 percent. UNH's last poll in April had Shaheen leading Sununu 52 percent to 40 percent.

The poll also shows that 72 percent of voters are still trying to determine which candidate to vote for in November.

UNH Poll shows McCain beating Clinton, Obama
