Shea-Porter to begin airing first TV ad

U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-Rochester) is set to launch her first television ad in her re-election campaign.

The ad, which was announced on Shea-Porter's Daily Kos diary page, will begin airing on Thursday and focuses on her efforts to promote health care for veterans. The ad also features a cameo from her mother.

Hours after Bradley talks up veterans support, Stephen touts his own

The release came hours after his Republican primary opponent, Jeb Bradley, touted his veteran endorsements during a debate on WGIR-AM this morning.

Shea-Porter files VA hospital bill

New Hampshire is the only state that does not have a VA hospital and establishing one has become a campaign issue for every federal candidate.

Bradley, Stephen debate funding for veterans programs

NEW CASTLE-Former U.S. Rep. Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro) and former Health and Human Services Commissioner John Stephen (R-Manchester) had a heated exchange on federal funding for veteran programs at a Republican forum.

Bradley said Stephen supported a federal budget plan that would have cut veterans programs, Stephen countered that the budget blueprint would not have cut programs.

Shaheen announces veterans support

The group will be co-chaired by state Rep. Eleanor Kjellman (D-Henniker) and retired Air Force General Jim Smith.

"Her record speaks for itself," Smith said. "She's has always been there for us."
