Obama And Holder Call 9-11 Trial Opponents Cowards

Great. Now along with being the cause of all of America's problems and racists - now the Won's political opponents are cowards for opposing aggrandizing the $@#$% that planned the 9-11 attacks and giving him the same Constitutional rights as an American citizen acting within the United States instead of a terrorist operating in a foreign nation in violation of the Geneva Convention. That's right, if you don't think that sweetcheeks should be tried just like a US citizen accused of breach of contract in Queens, you're a coward:
Attorney General Eric Holder is defending his decision to put the professed Sept.

Your Random Saturday

Star Parker has an interesting hate crime analogy:
Can you imagine a football game where the penalty for roughing the passer is 20 yards rather than 15 yards if the referee concludes that the violence perpetrated was motivated because the quarterback was homosexual?
Most open and transparent administration - evah!
Late Friday during the idle hours of the news cycle, the administration released the names of 100 White House visitors in 481 visits. It wasn't exactly the transparency the president promised. It was simply in compliance with two court rulings that ordered the names to be made public record. Unable to admit misconduct, the White House insisted its disclosure was voluntary.

Hogwash!

In the House, Republicans produced a draft health care bill that focuses on bringing down costs rather than extending coverage to nearly all Americans.

A 230-page draft was obtained Tuesday by The Associated Press. A spokeswoman for Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, said changes were still being made before the bill would be finalized in time to offer as an alternative when Democrats begin floor debate on their bill, possibly at the end of this week.

What a bunch of nonsense! The Republicans have no plan - the Democrats told me so. And even if they did, they're supposed to just shut up and get out of the way - Obama told them so.

Silly Republicans.

They Can't Even Get Propaganda Right

Obama: Is there anything he can do?

Seriously, they can't even get their propaganda right:
The White House is promising that new figures being released Friday will be a more accurate showing of progress in President Barack Obama's economic recovery plan. It aggressively defended an earlier, faulty count that overstated by thousands the jobs created or saved so far...

Ed DeSeve, serving as Obama's stimulus overseer, said the administration has been working for weeks to correct mistakes in early counts that identified more than 30,000 jobs paid for with stimulus money. He said a new stimulus report Friday should correct many mistakes an Associated Press review found that showed the earlier report overstated thousands of stimulus jobs.

Ultrawealthy (And Big Dem Donor) Trader Busted For Insider Trading

It's gotten to the point where about the first thing I do when a story like this breaks it so zip over to the FEC's site because the fringe media doesn't usually make these connections when they're tied to big name Democrats. This one fits the bill for a search, but they manage to do their job pretty well (I'm sure they'll be hearing from Obey-Won Obama's people):
One of America's wealthiest men was among six hedge fund managers and corporate executives arrested Friday in a hedge fund insider trading case that authorities say generated more than $25 million in illegal profits and was a wake-up call for Wall Street.

Democrats Launching Investigations In 3, 2, 1...

So. As we all suspected had to be the case, it turns out that Obama was coordinating with the insurance industry, along with liberal folk hero Baucus, to "sell" socialized medicine over the summer (before Congress sold Obama out and decided to go for the full monty right away instead of a slow strip-tease to socialized medicine as Obama wanted, turning the industry on the lot of them).
At a meeting last April with corporate lobbyists, aides to President Barack Obama and Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.) helped set in motion a multimillion-dollar advertising campaign, primarily financed by industry groups, that has played a key role in bolstering public support for health care reform.

Media Bias Marches On Washington

Par for the course lately, Investor's Business Daily manages to take a bubbling issue, sort through the facts and rumors over a day or two, and produces a cogent, concise summary and implications. Here they take on the media bias over the huge rally this past Saturday in DC, a rally underplayed and minimized in our papers this weekend - and was it even on the TV news?
The wide-lens shots of oceans of people on the streets of Washington, D.C., even wider than the one above, make it clear that last Saturday's mega-rally against government spending and high taxes was one of the most extraordinary grass-roots events in history.

But This Is Different

Recent student suicides have parents and advocates complaining that anti-bullying laws enacted in nearly every state are not being enforced and do not go far enough to identify and rid schools of chronic tormentors.

Forty-four states expressly ban bullying, a legislative legacy of a rash of school shootings in the late '90s, yet few if any of those measures have identified children who excessively pick on their peers, an Associated Press review has found. And few offer any method for ensuring the policies are enforced, according to data compiled by the National Conference of State Legislatures.

The issue came to a head in April when 11-year-old Jaheem Herrera committed suicide at his Atlanta-area home after his parents say he was repeatedly tormented in school.

SPIN METER: $3 Billion Buys Not-So-Green Vehicles
(AP)Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, the nation's top car salesman in recent weeks, has cited the Obama administration's best-seller list of mostly smaller, fuel-saving cars like the Ford Focus to describe the success of the Cash for Clunkers rebate program.

But what LaHood and other administration officials usually don't mention is that some trucks and sport-utility vehicles that get less than 20 miles per gallon, like the Ford F-150 truck and one version of the Cadillac SRX Crossover, also are being purchased with the new government subsidies.

Why Do We Resist?

Why are so many of us working in different ways to resist the tyranny being pushed by Barack Obama and his Democrat handmaidens in Congress?

Because we're "un-American"?

Because we're "brown shirts" carrying "swastikas"?

Or because we love what America stands for and would rather not go down the path that the current 'good intentions' are readying us for:
If you ever wonder why we so resist socialism, consider the latest news out of that collectivist island paradise known as Cuba.

Central planners announced this week that they were fresh out of money to buy toilet paper — yes, toilet paper — for the island's 9 million citizens.
