Boccieri camp makes YouTube response video

The campaign of state Sen. John Boccieri (D-New Middletown) has created a YouTube response video to a spat the campaign has been having with opponent state Sen. Kirk Schuring (R-Canton).

The campaigns have been tussling over the energy issue, with the latest coming from the Boccieri campaign on Monday, following opinion columns from each candidate in the Canton Repository.

After Schuring spoke about his support for drilling in ANWR and off the continental shelf, Boccieri said Shcuring was using gimmicks from President Bush's playbook.

In Schuring's column, he said gas prices would be lowered because of the impact that new drilling would have on the futures market. In his column, Boccieri wrote that new drilling won't have an impact on gas prices for ten to 20 years.

Boccieri has now released the following video in response to the Schuring campaign's claim that new drilling is a short-term solution.
