U.S. Rep. Zack Space's (D-Dover) Congressional office sent a press release yesterday about illegal immigration, hours after Space voted in favor of the financial bailout bill.

Space was one of 7 U.S. representatives from Ohio to vote in favor of the bill, which failed 228 to 205.

Space did not send a press release about the bailout, though some of his colleagues have spoken out.

However, Space told the Cincinnati Enquirer that he voted for the "imperfect" bill but was still "outraged... about this situation."

UPDATE: Space spokesman Stuart Chapman told PolitickerOH.com that the immigration e-mail was a regularly scheduled newsletter. The office sent a statement to news outlets that requested it but did not issue a press release.
