DCCC buys $600K of TV for House races

Corrected: Three U.S. House seats in Ohio are getting more than $600,000 in media buys from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

The DCCC placed media buys on Tuesday to attack Republicans Steve Stivers in the 15th Congressional District, Steve Driehaus in the 1st district and Kirk Schuring in the 16th district. All of the districts received about $200,000 in media buys.

The ad buys come the same week as the National Republican Congressional Committee cut back its advertising for Schuring in his race against John Bocceri (D-Alliance). The NRCC did begin an $800,000 buy for ads attacking Mary Jo Kilroy (D-Columbus) in her race against Stivers.

However, Stivers has been on the receiving end of $1.95 million in independent expenditures so far.
