In second ad, DCCC calls Schmidt 'what's wrong with Washington'

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is up witht their second ad in the race for Ohio's 2nd Congressional District, this time calling U.S. Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland) "what's wrong with Washington."

The DCCC replicates some hits from a previous ad, and comes at Schmidt with some new ones.

Schmidt is being challenged by Dr. Victoria Wulsin (D-Indian Hill) and businessman David Krikorian (I-Madeira) for her Congressional seat.

The ad hits Schmidt a second time for what they call her vote for a pay raise.

The Schmidt campaign disputed this heavily when the first ad came out, calling it "an out-and-out, boldfaced fabrication and downright lie."

The Schmidt campaign also attempted to have the first ad removed from the airwaves, pointing out that Congress does not vote for a pay raise anymore.

There is no bill anymore that funds a pay raise for members of Congress. Congressional salaries automatically go up annually unless a bill is passed to prevent it.

In response to the ad, the Schmidt campaign accused the DCCC of lying when the facts aren't on their side.
