The campaign of Sharen Neuhardt (D-Yellow Springs) is touting the endorsement of the National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Club heading into the final weekend of the campaign.

Neuhardt is running against state Sen. Steve Austria (R-Beavercreek) to replace retiring U.S. Rep. David Hobson (R-Springfield) in Ohio's 7th Congressional District.

The BPW/USA is a group committed to supporting equity for all women in the workplace.

"We are proud to support Sharen Neuhardt's Campaign for the U.S House of Representatives," said the CEO of the organization, Deborah Frett. "She has demonstrated her support for pay equity, work-life effectiveness and equal rights, and we are confident that when she is elected to the U.S. Congress, workingwomen and their families from Ohio and across the nation will have a powerful advocate in Sharen Neuhardt."

BPW/USA chair Terri Freer said Neuhardt was clearly the top pick of women in the workplace and that she's shown she supports the organization's legislative priorities.

The Neuhardt campaign said that for nearly 30 years, BPW has supported women candidates who believe in BPW/USA's legislative platform of equal pay and equal rights for women.
