Coleman, Diddy, Jay-Z, Blige and Beyonce campaign in Columbus Monday night

Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman said he's got 99 problems...but voting ain't one.

Coleman was speaking a campaign rally for Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama Monday night on the east side of Columbus, featuring Grammy-winning recording artists Mary J. Blige, "Jay-Z" Carter, Beyonce Knowles and Sean "Diddy" Combs, along with media executive Kevin Liles.

The group travelled to Cincinnati Monday afternoon and Columbus Monday night to lend their support to get out the vote and voter education efforts.

Jay-Z encouraged the crowd to support Obama's presidential effort and make history by voting for the junior Senator from Illinois on Tuesday.

"Rosa Parks sat so that Martin Luther King could walk," Carter said. "Martin Luther King walked so that Barack Obama could run. Barack Obama is running so that we all can fly."

Coleman told the crowd that Democrats need them tomorrow. He told the crowd to be at the polls at 5:30 in the morning, and not to get out of line.

"Your vote may be thee vote that makes the difference, and makes Barack Obama the next president of the United States," Coleman said.

Coleman said that he loves Jay-Z, and loves Diddy, but came to see Mary J.

"We're changing the world tomorrow," Coleman said. "Our country will be forever changed depending on what we do tomorrow. And only you can make that difference. So I'm counting on you. The whole country is counting on you."

Coleman encouraged the crowd to vote for Democrats down ballot as well. Among those in attendance was businessman David W. Robinson (D-Columbus), who is challenging U.S. Rep. Pat Tiberi (R-Westerville) in Ohio's 12th Congressional District.

Blige shared with the crowd some thoughts she had written down about the election.

"It is time to let go of our comfort zone and being passive, and step up to the leadership plate where we belong," Blige said. "We can't keep doing the same thing over and over and over again, expecting a different result. So let's go out there and represent the fact that we understood that they shook us upside down and made us become an upside Kingdom. But in this upside kingdom we have kings and queens out there. You guys are kings and queens."

Diddy says that he woke up Monday morning and felt different - like something was happening.

"I don't know if y'all remember when you were in the third grade and your teacher asked you what you want to me when you grow up," Combs said. "The teacher asked me what I want to be when I grow up. And I said a garbage man. I swear I said a garbage man. But deep down inside I wanted to say the President, but I was too embarrassed because I knew it wasn't a reality and I was scared. But check this out, that day is over, because right now my son is in fourth grade and if he wants to say, and your kids, if they want to say they want to be the president of the United States. It don't matter - the color of your skin. He can say it, you can say it, your kids can say it, and it's all due to you getting out and voting Barack Obama."
