U.S. Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland) was seemingly in two places at one time last Thursday.
The campaign of her opponent in the race for Ohio's 2nd Congressional District, Dr. Victoria Wulsin (D-Indian Hill) criticized Schmidt for missing a vote for an $8 billion bill to rescue the federal highway trust fund. The fund relies on the federal gas tax, which has seen declining revenue.
The bill passed 376-29, with 28 members of the U.S. House missing the vote, including Schmidt.
