One of Cuyahoga County’s most powerful Democrats is still undecided about who he wants to replace former U.S. Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones (D-Cleveland) as the party meets tonight to vote to fill the vacancy.
County Commissioner Peter Lawson Jones said he’s still weighing his options, even though Mayor Frank Jackson and former U.S. Rep. Louis Stokes have backed Warrenville Heights mayor Marcia Fudge.
“There are three or four candidates that I could ultimately cast my vote for but I essentially have avoided making an endorsement, and I said I wouldn’t,” Jones said.
