Dever makes his case for U.S. Attorney

Steve Dever has been an assistant county prosecutor for 24 years and currently works as chief trial counsel for the Cuyahoga County prosecutor.  Now, he wants to be U.S. Attorney. 

Dever, 50, said that he's interested in the position of U.S. Attorney because he thinks he can bring crime fighting strategies and leadership for improving the quality of life in Northern Ohio. Dever touted his many years of experience in making the case that he's the man for the job.

Chandra wants to be U.S. attorney

Updated -- Former attorney general candidate Subodh Chandra wants to be the next U.S. attorney from Ohio.

Chandra ran against Marc Dann in the Democratic primary for attorney general two years ago and now said he's interested in appointment as the chief prosecutor of federal law for the northern district of Ohio. The office has jurisdiction 40 counties with 75 attorneys, which Chandra said can make a big impact in law enforcement.

Cuyahoga prosecutor makes U.S. attorney endorsement

Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason (D) has endorsed his assistant to be the next U.S. attorney for the northern district of Ohio.

Spokesperson Ryan Miday said Mason endorsed Steven Dever, who has been assistant county prosecutor for 24 years. Dever, 50, is currently the chief trial counsel for the prosecutor’s office.

Schmidt asks U.S. Attorney to investigate Wulsin financial disclosures

The campaign of U.S. Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland) followed through on an earlier threat, and has now asked U.S. Attorney Gregory Lockhart to investigate allegations that opponent Dr. Victoria Wulsin (D-Indian Hill) failed to file, and filed false information, on her federal financial disclosure documents.
